About Club Keno

Club Keno commenced pilot operations
on Friday, 13 September 1991 in 13 clubs located in the Newcastle
district. Despite its Black Friday beginning, the game proved a popular
success and was officially launched on November 22, 1991 at the Penrith
Rugby League Club.

Today, there are more than 930 registered clubs in New South Wales
participating in the Club Keno network, making Club Keno the world's
largest club-based Keno game.

Club Keno's continued success is based on its appeal as an inexpensive and instant
gaming opportunity with good returns. The game represents an important
part of an entire range of entertainment options offered by clubs. The
evolution of new products, prizes, and promotions is one strategy Club
Keno will continue to utilise to ensure the game's success into the new
millennium and beyond.

How it works.

Club Keno is played in licensed registered clubs in New South Wales.

Club Keno is played every 3 1/2 minutes, over 14 hours a day, seven
days a week. Gaming commences each day at 9.00am and concludes at 12.00 midnight Sunday to Thursday, and 1.00am Friday and Saturday.

In each Keno game, 20 >winning numbers are randomly selected from 80
numbered ping pong balls by a rotating ball drawing device at Club Keno
headquarters, North Ryde, Sydney.

When playing Club Keno, players bet by selecting 1 to 10, or 15 numbers
and matching their selctions against those drawn.

The minimum wager is $1.00 and the maximum wager is $9,999.00 per entry ticket.

Club Keno game variations include:

Standard 1-6 numbers

15 Number game

7,8,9,10 Number Jackpots

Superbet

Mystery Bet

Quick Pick

Lucky Last

A new game called "Heads or Tails?" allows players to double their
money by predicting whether more balls will fall in the top or bottom
half of the 80 number Keno grid.

In addition to winning numbers being displayed in each network club,
players may check their tickets at any Club Keno club for up to 12
months to claim their winnings.

Club Keno, Clubs and the Community

Club Keno is a major sponsor of the Clubs and Community campaign, an
initiative in which registered clubs throughout all regions of New
South Wales co-ordinate charity fundraising activities which support
local causes. Some of these activities take the form of charity race
days, bull riding championships, fishing competitions or charity
auctions and the individual organising committees in each region decide
which charity the money raised will go to.
